Application Details:
- Drying Time: Touch-dry in 1-2 hours, handleable within 4-6 hours, and hardens overnight.
- Thinning: Up to 5% with Thinner 853 for brush or roller; for spray, use Thinner 800 as per equipment requirements.
- Coverage: Theoretical spreading rate of 12.0 – 14.4 sq m/L per coat.
Surface Preparation:
- Cleaning: Remove grease, oil, and contaminants, preferably using Bison Degreasing Solvent.
- Surface Profiling: Blast clean to a minimum of Sa 2½ (Swedish Standard) or, where blasting is impractical, manually clean to St.2 standard with tools.
- Dust Removal: Ensure surfaces are thoroughly dusted before application.
Application Instructions:
- Primer Coat: Apply an even coat for optimum adhesion, using a brush, roller, or spray.
- Topcoat Recommendation: For extended protection, apply one or two topcoats as soon as possible to prevent prolonged exposure with a single primer coat.
