Application Guidelines:
Surface Preparation:
- Scraping: Remove loose particles, dust, and impurities from the surface.
- Sanding: Use a progressive sanding method. For solid wood, start with 80/120 grit sandpaper, moving to 220 for final touches. For MDF and veneers, start with 150/180 grit sandpaper and finish with 220 grit.
- Cleaning: Ensure all dust is removed prior to application.
Primer Application:
- First Coat: Apply Berger Melamine Sealer using a 9:1 mix ratio with Melamine Thinner. Spray the sealer, then sand with 220/320 grit sandpaper and clean off dust.
- Second Coat: Apply a second coat with the same ratio, ensuring a 3-4 hour drying period between applications, which should not exceed 72 hours.
Topcoat Application:
- Finish Application: Choose between Melamine Matt (KL7779 & KL7C82, 9:1 ratio) or Melamine Glossy (KL7373 & KL7C82, 9:1 ratio). Each finish requires a minimum of two spray coats with sanding and a 3-4 hour drying time between layers.

Drying Time:
- Surface Dry: Melamine Sealer and Matt < 15 minutes; Gloss < 30 minutes.
