Recommended Use:
Ideal for interior wood staining projects, Woodkeeper Wood Stainer is perfect for raw wood and veneer surfaces where preserving the grain pattern is essential. This product is best suited for indoor applications, as the dye is not formulated for exterior durability.
Application Guidelines:
Surface Preparation:
- Sand the raw wood or veneer in the direction of the grain using 120-grit sandpaper to achieve a smooth, clean surface. Avoid cross-grain sanding to prevent grain damage.
- Clean the surface thoroughly to remove any dust or debris before staining.
Application Procedure:
- Soak a cloth in Woodkeeper Wood Stainer and apply evenly over the wood surface, using multiple passes to achieve the desired color intensity.
- For color uniformity, wipe the freshly applied stain with a dry cloth shortly after application.
- Wood stains can also be mixed with a sealer for spray application. To achieve a lighter tone, dilute the stainer with PU thinner as needed.
- Avoid sanding the stain layer as it will strip the color.
